Scottsdale, AZ- Katherine Roberts, a 20-year veteran in health, wellness and golf performance coaching has joined the Hank Haney Signature Golf School as fitness coach for the 2006 season. The Haney Schools are part of the 2006 curriculum for ESPN Golf Schools (EGS) and attracts golfers interested in personalized instruction on all facets of the game.
"Golf performance conditioning is an important element of our curriculum and Katherine’s unique approach to fitness and body motion is an added benefit for our students," states Charlie Ricks, President of ESPN Golf Schools. "We are fortunate to have both Hank and Katherine associated with ESPN Golf Schools, they are two of the most widely recognized professionals in their respective fields."
At the two-day golf schools, Roberts will demonstrate mind and body conditioning techniques that maximize performance off the tee and around the green. Participants will be given an opportunity to practice yoga techniques presented by Roberts and can mesh what they’ve learned onsite with swing knowledge and techniques gained from Hank Haney, a nationally ranked teacher and Dean of Instruction for EGS.
"My goal is to help enhance the golf learning experience for our students through flexibility, strength, balance and core conditioning, integral components of the comprehensive teaching methodologies based in yoga," states Roberts. "A successful yoga, flexibility and strengthening practice complements the learning experience provided by Mr. Haney and will also assist in maximizing performance in other aspects of our students’ lives."
