Downey Wins LDA’s RE/MAX Of Texas Shoot-out

John Downey of Safety Harbor, Fla. edged four-time world champion Jason Zuback by four inches to win Long Drivers of America’s $60,000 RE/MAX of Texas Shoot-Out Saturday (May 6) at Hank Haney’s City Pointe Driving Range in Dallas.

Downey drove 364 yards, 4 inches to Zuback’s 364. Downey collected a $12,000 first prize for his first LDA win.

In the senior division, Bobby Wilson outdueled Frank Miller 369 yards to 360. It was the eleventh career LDA win for Wilson, who earned $7,000.
