CGI Named Presenting Sponsor; Coors & Others Show Support
PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla., May 12, 2006 ï?¾ The Executive Women’s Golf Association (EWGA) Foundation will host its 4th annual fundraising event in support of junior girls golf during the U.S. Women’s Open Championship in June at the Newport Country Club in Newport, Rhode Island. When the best players in women’s golf tee off for this most prestigious tournament, EWGA members, friends and family will be on hand to cheer them on and raise money for the LPGA-USGA Girls Golf program.
In its fourth year, the EWGA at the U.S. Women’s Open presented by CGI attracts attendance and sponsorships from throughout the country. Companies such as CGI, Coors and Turning Stone Resort and Casino as well as dozens of EWGA chapters and individuals generously support this Girls Golf fundraiser. â?¢ one season grounds pass to the U.S. Women’s Open
The package price is $295. Commuter packages for Friday golf only are available for $185 and include continental breakfast, golf, prizes and awards lunch.
Proceeds raised from this EWGA Foundation event will support LPGA-USGA Girls Golf, a developmental junior golf program for girls age 7-17 to play golf, build friendships and sample competition in a supportive and positive learning environment.
The EWGA Foundation is a 501© (3) not-for-profit organization formed and supported by the Executive Women’s Golf Association. Its mission is to develop premier golf education and leadership development programs for women. Over the past four years, EWGA Chapters and the EWGA Foundation have donated more than $245,000 to LPGA-USGA Girls Golf. Since the EWGA was started in 1991, more than 75,000 women have benefited from membership in the organization which is dedicated to providing opportunities for women to learn, play and enjoy the game of golf for business and for life.
