LAURINBURG, N.C., May 15, 2006 – Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation announced that, according to Darrell Survey results, eight out of 10 professional golfers used Golf Pride® grips at professional tournaments in the U.S. and in Japan May 11-14.
The Professional Golfers’ Association’s (PGA) EDS Byron Nelson Championship featured 136 of the 154-player field (88.3 percent) using Golf Pride grips on the majority of the clubs in their bags, while the PGA Champions Tour Boeing Championship and the Japan PGA Championship showed similar Golf Pride grip leadership.
From the three tournaments combined, Golf Pride grips were used on 4,384 clubs (82.4 percent) compared to just 1,062 clubs gripped with competitors’ grips. Golf Pride grips also collectively adorned 1,063 of 1,259 woods (84.4 percent).
