MADISON, WI – Spring is a busy time in the golf industry, and never has this been more true for Laser Link Golf. Since the announcement of Decision 14-3/0.5, which allows for the use of rangefinders during all types of rounds, Laser Link Golf has been on the radar of golf courses around the world. The list of new "Laser Linked" courses grows longer as clubs of all kinds join the Laser Link Revolution.
Headlining the list are several clubs that are included on the list of Golf Digest’sâ?¢ Top 100 Courses. Among the newest Laser Linked courses are names such as Baltusrol Golf Club, Oak Hill Golf Club, Oakland Hills Country Club, Inverness Country Club, Scioto Country Club, Eugene Country Club, and Colonial Country Club. Also included is Medinah Country Club, host of the 2006 PGA Championship. This brings the total number of "Laser Linked" Top 100 Clubs to twenty-four.
"We are very excited about the top clubs that are installing our System. Three of the next four PGA Tour stops will be played on Laser Linked courses – TPC at Las Colinas, Colonial Country Club, and Muirfield Village Golf Club," said Dan Steiner, Vice President, Laser Link Golf. "Since the Rule change, clubs of all kinds are considering our System, and getting names of top clubs such as these truly validates our concept. The best clubs want the best products, and our System is the fastest, easiest, and most accurate way for their members to find distance to the flagstick."
About Laser Link Golf
Laser Link Golf is the producer of the Laser Link Distance System, the revolutionary distance measurement system designed specifically for golf. The laser-based system utilizes two components – a handheld laser rangefinder and a flagstick-based reflector – to determine the exact distance to the flagstick. Laser Link Golf products include the popular QuickShotâ?¢ rangefinder, the SmartStickâ?¢ reflector system, and the Smartyâ?¢ flagstick reflector. The System is designed to speed up play and add enjoyment to the game. It is in use at more than 1,000 private clubs around the country, and several more daily fee courses. Laser Link Golf is based in Madison, WI, and is owned and operated by many of the same individuals that started SoftSpikes®. They are involved in Laser Link Golf for the same reason they got involved in SoftSpikes® – both are good for the game!
