Colonial to host 2006 event
NORMAN, Okla. — Callaway Golf has agreed to sponsor the men’s collegiate match play championship to be held at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas, on Oct. 29-31, 2006. Invitation to the Callaway Golf Collegiate Match Play Championship will be based on 2006 Division I national championships finish.

One of the finest courses in the United States, Colonial has served as host of the Colonial Invitational since 1946 and is the only course to hold a U.S. Open, a Players Championship and an annual PGA Tour event. A 7,054 yard, par 70 layout, Colonial also serves host to The Ben Hogan Award banquet, which is awards annually the top collegiate men’s golfer taking into account all collegiate and amateur competitions during a 12-month period.
