IRWINDALE, Calif. (May 24, 2006) — Like the Phoenix rising from the ashes, Aureus continues its magnificent rebirth and continues to tear up the market leaving others in their wake. A one-time top name in the golf apparel industry in the 1980s, Aureus’ popularity began to slip in the public eye. Since the company’s re-launch in 2002, Aureus has been steadily soaring back toward the top by focusing on creating the best quality garment for the most competitive price.
Last year Aureus experienced a 10 percent increase in year over year growth in their account base. So far in 2006, they have more than tripled those numbers with new account openings up by 32 percent. With half of this year in the books Aureus is rapidly flying back toward the top of the apparel industry.
Following a successful 2005, Aureus didn’t rest on their laurels; they prepared for continued success in 2006 by increasing their sales force by 25 percent. This anticipation enabled the company to increase their warehouse space by 12 percent to better serve the ever-increasing in-stock program.

Coming into 2006 Stiles felt Aureus could have significant growth by increasing the public’s awareness of the Aureus product. Part of the company’s plan was to double their ad buys budget for a third consecutive year in an effort to bring brand awareness to the golfer and to increase their regional golf show participation by 75 percent in 2006.
To date their efforts have paid off as they have doubled their sales on their heavily promoted basic shirt without offering a discount. Aureus has had to hire six new reps in the last month alone to keep up with their sales demand. And their TechniCool Elite program is the fastest selling new item category in Aureus’ history with 43 percent sold in just six weeks.
As with most successful companies, Aureus’ steady growth can be attributed to a common thread that runs throughout their company’s plans and projections – improving the quality and design.
