Oceanfront destination marks latest addition to Kemper’s resort portfolio
WESTPORT, Wash. (May 24, 2006) – Lanco, LLC, the real estate company developing a Pacific coastal community in Washington, recently announced its selection of KemperSports as manager of operations and accompanying amenities at the expanding oceanfront destination of Westport.
KemperSports has assumed management of multiple lodging and food and beverage facilities within the blooming Westport project, located on the western coast of Washington less than three hours from both Seattle and Portland. The Northbrook, Ill.-based management company will also assist with future development of a proposed Rick Robins-designed, oceanside golf course as well as a resort complete with lodge hotel and convention center.
Westport by the Sea, set amid a natural landscape of sandy beach, bay and marina, currently serves as home to nearly 200 condominium units, many of which are utilized as second homes by residents. KemperSports will operate the oceanfront units that are enrolled in a rental program in addition to three restaurants, two hotels and several forthcoming championship golf courses.

According to developers, future plans also include the construction of as many as four golf courses, additional luxury condominiums and commercial retail space, equating to a true resort destination that features recreational activities like surfing, deep-sea fishing and whale watching.
