Premier Golf School, With Locations in Orlando, FL, Galloway, NJ, Palm Desert, CA and Naples, FL, Joins Program That Makes It Easy for Adults and Kids to Play and Learn the Game of Golf Together
ORLANDO, Fla. (May 24, 2006) – Marriott Golf, the world’s largest resort golf management company, today announced that the Faldo Golf Institute by Marriott has joined the newly unveiled "Kids Golf-4-Free" program. The new program, which allows adults and kids to play and learn the game of golf together, now adds four premier Faldo Golf Institute locations to the collection of 36 Marriott Golf resort destinations, encompassing 52 golf courses, offering the program.
"Kids Golf-4-Free" enables children 15 years old and under to golf for free when accompanied by a full paying adult, after 3:00 p.m. In addition, Marriott Golf also offers free lessons anytime to kids 15 years old and under when accompanied by an adult who is taking a fully paid lesson from the same Marriott Golf instructor. This includes the Faldo Golf Institute, which is located at Marriott Grande Vista, in Orlando, FL; Seaview Golf Resort & Spa, A Marriott Resort, in Galloway, NJ; Marriott’s Shadow Ridge Resort, in Palm Desert, CA; and Marco Island Marriott Resort & Sp, Naples, FL.
The Faldo Golf Institute, which combines the teaching philosophy of Six-Time Major Champion Nick Faldo with the world class service and hospitality of Marriott International, provides an environment for golfers of all skill levels to improve their fundamentals and enjoyment of the game. The Institute, which offers an assortment of game improvement programs and specialized schools to accommodate male and female golfers of every age, features a team of Faldo Certified instructors at each location. The maximum Instructor/student ration is 4:1, and the curriculum is designed to ensure that the instructor adjusts the pace and delivery of a session, matching each students ability to learn.
"’Kids Golf-4-Free’ is designed to promote youth golf. Thus, to add the Faldo Golf Institute to this program is a further testament to Marriott Golf’s commitment to the development of junior players," said Claye Atcheson, vice president of operations, Marriott Golf. "We feel that it is vital to the growth of the game to encourage family golf, while at the same time going to great lengths to ensure that junior golfers continue to develop their skills under the direction of the game’s best instructors."
"Kids Golf-4-Free" features two components. The Free Play program enables kids up to 15 years old to play for free when accompanied by a full paying adult. The program, which is based on availability, is valid for one free round per child with each full paying adult. The Free Instruction program enables kids up to 15 years old to receive a free golf lesson when accompanied by an adult who is paying for a lesson. Both golf lessons must be taken at the same time with the same instructor.
