LARKSPUR, Colo. (May 26, 2006) – The Colorado Section PGA and Kennedy Golf Course will be hosting the annual Women & Golf Day presented by Cherry Creek North on Thursday, June 1. Targeted for both long-time players and beginners, the annual Women & Golf Day features PGA professionals providing instruction on all phases of the game to include putting, chipping, full swing and on-course instruction. In addition to the instruction, attendees will have the opportunity to see and feel some of the latest in golf equipment and accessories.
New for the 2006, the Women & Golf Day event will have two sessions, morning and afternoon. The morning session will begin with registration at 8:00 a.m., and end with lunch at 11:45 a.m. Afternoon registration will begin at 11:00, with lunch, and conclude its instruction clinics at 3:15 p.m.
"We have seen tremendous growth with the Women & Golf Day program," states Colorado PGA Executive Director Darrell Bock. "Last year the event was sold out and unfortunately some people were turned away. With the addition of the afternoon session, we can now accommodate up to 250 attendees and look forward to another great turnout."
The cost for the Women & Golf Day event is $20.00 per person, and includes a golf goody bag, lunch and golf instruction from PGA professionals. Registration forms are available at participating Cherry Creek North stores or at Kennedy Golf Course. In addition, individuals may register via the web at the Colorado Section PGA web site (www.coloradopga.com) or by calling the Colorado PGA office at (303) 681-0742. Space is limited to the first 125 paid registrants for each session.
The 4th Women & Golf Day presented by Cherry Creek North is sponsored by Cherry Creek North, The INTERNATIONAL, Colorado AvidGolfer Magazine, PDI, Kennedy Golf Course and the Colorado PGA Foundation.
