POWAY, Calif. (May 31, 2006) – Aldila, Inc. posted another win Sunday on the PGA European Tour, the BMW Championship at Wentworth Club in Surrey, England. Using the Aldila NV(TM) 65 shaft in his Driver, the winner posted four rounds in the 60s to win by five strokes over his fellow Englishman.
Winning the European Tour’s flagship event catapulted him to number 10 in the Official World Golf Ranking making him the 63rd player to hold World Top 10 status in the 20-year history of the Ranking.
Aldila continued to be the number one hybrid shaft on the PGA Tour last week, according to the Darrell Survey. Aldila had more than three times as many hybrid shafts in play as the second place shaft company at the St. Jude Classic.
