ORLANDO, FLA. (May 31, 2006) – The Spirit of Golf Foundation announced that legendary golf instructor Eddie Merrins will be the keynote speaker for its inaugural West Coast Certification Conference July 23-26 in Las Vegas. Merrins, who has been the head professional at the Bel-Air Country Club in Los Angeles and one of the game’s most respected instructors for 40 years, will discuss the role of today’s golf coaches in growing the game.
The conference is designed to help high school coaches and youth leaders learn how to develop more successful golf programs and maximize the performance of their players.
Other conference speakers include Dr. Darren Treasure, founder of CAI Performance Systems; and Tim Flannery, assistant director of the National Federation of High Schools.
