Volvik Golf Balls Not Just For Ladies

June 1, 2006

(May 31, 2006) – Volvik Golf Balls have caught the eye of many golfers over the past years. This year is no exception. FLGolf, Inc. the exclusive distributor of Volvik products in the USA today told writers of the encouragement they are offering their retailers and green grass accounts.

"We’re encouraging our retail channels to ‘think outside the box’ so to speak," said Glen Coombe of FLGolf. "Many of our sales reps have told us of how their customers seem to be convinced that the Volvik Crystal golf ball is only a ladies ball. In fact nothing could be further from the truth. Just ask any of the folks who are part of the army of loyal fans of the Crystal ball. Our golf balls perform for the majority of golfers today who do not have the swing speed of a professional golfer. Our seventy compression construction has been the ‘not so secret’ of our success. Many retailers are now assigning premium counter space to Volviks new premium ball offerings, the PROsPECT, and the Crystal Pro, both of which are three piece construction balls."

In an email Dick Williams of Alke Sport in Halethorpe, MD said, "I played in a golf tournament recently and we had colored ball format. Best score wins but if you lose the colored ball you are out of the tournament!! We had six four man teams. Each player had to hit the orange ball in rotation. It was hard for me to believe, no one lost the orange ball!!! I found the Volvik Crystal ball played straight and far. It had great feel when chipping and putting. By the way my team won with a score of even par. We here at Alke Sport are looking forward to selling these crystal balls and I look forward to playing with them."

Fifteen year old Tyler Cole of Orange Park Florida said of his Crystal ball success, "I’ve only been playing for just over two years. I’m not a big guy at five foot nine inches and one hundred and twenty pounds, but I can hit the Crystal ball about 270 yds. off the tee! I play the white Crystal and the green Crystal. I like the price and the feel of the Crystal. It checks nice on approach shots."

Tyler plays daily at his home club in Orange Park, Eagle River G.C. and shoots 39-40 for nine holes playing the white 6400 yard tees. The ERGC junior program allows Tyler and his friends to walk for very low rates. Tyler will play his first North Florida Junior Golf Tour event on June 5th.
