(May 31. 2006) – On the European PGA TOUR…at the BMW Championship 2006…Cleveland staffer David Howell won the event firing a 17-under 217 after closing with a nearly flawless final round of 69 on Sunday. His victory at the European TOUR’s flagship event moved him into the "Top Ten" rankings for first time in his career. Howell used a Launcher Comp 9.5, a Cleveland LDI, CG 1 irons (3-PW), and 900 wedges (54o & 58o). Howell leads the European Tour’s money-list with by almost twice the earnings of the nearest competitor.
On the Champions Tour…at the Senior PGA Championship…Cleveland staff player Brad Brant lost a heartbreaker on the 3rd playoff hole when he missed a four foot putt to tie the hole. Bryant uses a Launcher 460 Comp (7.5o), CG4 irons (3-PW), a 588 AW (53o) and a 588 LW (60o/ GunMetal). Cleveland Golf did win the "Sand, Lob & Approach Wedge Count" with 95 wedges and the "All Wedge Count" with 114 wedges.
On the LPGA…at the Corning Classic…Never Compromise won the "Putter Count" with 35 total putters in play…Congratulations!
On the PGA TOUR…at the FedEx St. Jude Classic…Cleveland Golf won the "Utility Iron Count" with 5 LDI’s in play.
