ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. (June 1, 2006) – John Glozek, Associate Publisher of Golfing magazine and Editor/Publisher of Golfing-Long Island, has been named President of the International Network Of Golf at the non-profit networking organization’s recent Executive Committee meeting at the 16th Annual ING Spring Conference.
Also at the meeting, Jack Bacot, Associate Publisher/Editor of Golfstyles-Carolinas, was elected ING Vice President. Both Bacot and Glozek will serve three-year terms.
Glozek and Bacot are joined on the ING Executive Committee by John Steinbach of TaylorMade-adidas Golf, Geoff Converse of Cape Cod and Past President Jay Hubbard of Tour Edge Golf.
Hubbard, Director of Public Relations & Marketing at Tour Edge, guided the ING through the completion of its transition to non-profit status during his three-year term, which came to a close at the ING Spring Conference. Also during his term, the ING Spring Conference was restructured, and membership grew by 20 percent.
"Jay played the key role in the restructuring of ING," said ING Executive Director Mike Jamison. "His tireless devotion to growing the organization, and to doing it in a way that created a solid foundation, was absolutely amazing. Jay was the right person at the right time for this job.
"John Glozek is another energetic, can-do person who will help guide ING to the next level. ING has already benefited from his creativity during his years on the Advisory Board and Executive Committee. I am excited about the next three years under his leadership."
Glozek is also looking forward to his term.
"Joining ING was the best business decision I have ever made," said Glozek. "It is a fabulous group and a wonderful experience for all of its members. The relationships and business opportunities developed are priceless. I look forward to the growth of the orgazination, working with the Board, the members of the assocition, and being its President."
