GASTONIA, N.C. (June 5, 2006) – AccuFLEX Golf shafts absolutely dominated the Nationwide Tour this past weekend at The Rex Hospital Open in Raleigh, NC. AccuFLEX captured its 14th Tour Victory as the winner of the event was using an AccuFLEX Evolution shaft in his driver. In addition to the victory, AccuFLEX had three other players in the Top 5 using an array of their shafts.
The winner of The Rex Hospital Open finished 6th in driving distance averaging 316.6 yards and T8th in Driving Accuracy, hitting over 80% of the fairways.
Other notables at the event were a 3rd Place Finisher with the Icon HL in his hybrid, a T5th using an AccuLAUNCH 80 shaft in his Fairway Wood, and another T5th using an Evolution shaft in his driver. Capturing 4 of the Top 5 spots earned these players a combined total of $133,650 for the event, which accounted for 30% of the total purse! It pays to put an AccuFLEX shaft into play! The Nationwide wasn’t the only Tour that AccuFLEX had success on though.
