PLANO, Texas (June 6, 2006) – More than 52% of the pros at the Allianz Championship played the Adams Golf Idea a2 hybrid, according to the Darrell Survey. This was the 13th consecutive Champions Tour event that Adams Golf has led the hybrid count, currently undefeated in the category this year. Adams Golf also led the overall wood count for the fifth time in the last six Champions Tour events.
"The reason our hybrids have remained on top for every tournament this year is because they perform. The pros on tour demand that, and a strong majority of them continue to rely on Adams Golf clubs," said Max Puglielli, Adams Golf Tour Operations Director. "While the hybrids have been a constant #1 this year, we’ve been able to build momentum in the fairway wood and driver counts as well. In five of the last six Champions Tour tournaments, more and more pros are putting Adams Golf hybrids, fairway woods and drivers in their bags. Something we are extremely proud of."
Year-to-date data from the Darrell Survey shows that Adams Golf hybrids rank #1 on the Champions Tour, #2 on the PGA Tour and a very close #3 on the Nationwide Tour. Some of the highlights from this weekend’s tournament action include:
