SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. (June 5, 2006) – Tickets for the 2007 U.S. Women’s Open Championship, conducted by the United States Golf Association, will go on sale to the general public beginning June 19, 2006. Pine Needles Lodge & Golf Club, which will serve as the site of the premier women’s championship June 25 – July 1, 2007, previously hosted the U.S. Women’s Open in 1996 and 2001.
"Women’s golf has shown phenomenal growth in the past few years," said Kelly Miller, general chairman for the 2007 U.S. Women’s Open Championship. "The influx of new talent has created a level of interest we’ve never experienced. Signs are pointing to record attendance."
Ticket packages will range in price from $40 for a three-day practice round pass, Monday – Wednesday, to $85 for a four-day championship round pass, Thursday – Sunday. Season grounds (weekly) packages are available for $110. A value package, including 10 vouchers good for entry any day of the championship, is priced at $250. After January 1, 2007, ticket package prices will increase. If any are available, daily tickets will go on sale at that time.
As part of the USGA’s Catch the Spirit program, juniors 17 and younger will receive free admission when accompanied by a ticketed adult. They also receive a complimentary lunch voucher and Catch the Spirit baseball cap as well as front-row seating in all on-course grandstands.

The Catch the Spirit program was established to introduce youth to golf and to continue to grow the game.
