PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL, June 12, 2006 Open to all golf facilities, the Host Club Partner program of the Executive Women’s Golf Association (EWGA) is designed to increase rounds and revenue while encouraging more women to play golf.

Host Club Partners demonstrate their commitment to growing women’s golf by offering reduced fees for play, practice or instruction as a benefit of EWGA membership. In return, Host Club Partners are listed in the EWGA print and online directories, valued resources used by the association’s nearly 20,000 members when seeking places to play. Special consideration as host sites for EWGA events and tournaments and other marketing opportunities also are included.

A 2005 survey of EWGA members conducted by the PGA of America found that 61% are avid golfers, playing more than 25 rounds per year. Current golfers who joined EWGA spent an average of $3,096 on golf activities and merchandise and another $1882 on golf related travel. New golfers who entered the game through EWGA averaged 14 rounds and spent an average of $1,585 and another $2,408 on golf-related travel.

"Our members provide a substantial boost to the golf economy. Yet like most women, they are always looking for values and discounts when they select where they will spend their precious free time," says Pam Swensen, chief executive officer of the EWGA. "Golf courses, resorts, driving ranges, golf academies and other instructional facilities who become EWGA Host Club partners will find that our members are very loyal customers and that promoting women’s golf and the EWGA is good for business."

Since the EWGA started in 1991, more than 80,000 women have benefited from membership in the organization which is dedicated to providing opportunities to learn, play, and enjoy the game of golf for business and for life. There are currently 120 chapters throughout the United States and Canada.

EWGA chapters provide a wide range of golf, social and networking activities for both new and experienced golfers. A welcoming environment, golf education and player development, and organized play programs are part of the many benefits of EWGA membership.

Celebrating its 15th Anniversary in 2006, the EWGA is headquartered in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. For more information about the association and its Host Club Partner program, visit www.ewga.com.
