June 14, 2006

Waltham, MA, June 13, 2006 . . . Etonic, the leader in advanced golf glove technology, introduces an entire family of gloves with the next major step in performance improvements, the revolutionary Patent Pending G>SOK design. The G>SOK glove features a unique Stabilizer Island Thumbâ?¢ and a split palm construction technique resulting in a glove with a Perfect Fitâ?¢. The G>SOK design is used in five performance gloves: G>SOK Ultimate, G>SOK, G>SOK All Weather, G>SOK Rain Gloves, and G>SOK Winter Gloves.
In 1991 Etonic was the first company to introduce a high performance combination golf glove called SOFT TECHâ?¢. Seven years later, Etonic introduced the DIFFERENCEâ?¢, the first tour grade combination glove worn by multiple winners on the PGA TOUR.
"Etonic has taken the leadership role in developing new and innovative glove technologies over the years," stated Karen Pitts, vice president of marketing. "Now we are introducing the next chapter in high performance glove technology with the G>SOK design. The incredible fit of the glove is the key to the G>SOK design. The Stabilizer Island Thumb and the well placed Lycra® throughout the glove makes it fit the same each time the golfer puts it on."
The new G>SOK technology combines a unique design with proprietary materials to create a glove that fits snug the first time it is worn and every time after.
G>SOK Glove Design Features:

  • Stabilizer Island Thumbâ?¢ – the Cabretta Leather Island Thumb is surrounded and reinforced with Etonic’s Aerifyâ?¢ Lycra® to provide freedom of movement and reduce stress on the palm seams.
  • Dri-Sorbâ?¢ Moisture Management Wrist – the wristband inside the extended cuff helps absorb moisture and lock the glove on the hand resulting in added stability and comfort.
  • Aerifyâ?¢ Lycra® – is strategically placed to customize the fit, while keeping the hand cool and dry.
  • Breathable Dri-Liteâ?¢ – performance microfiber is used on the back of the glove to ensure consistent fit and extend durability.
  • 100% Abyssinian Cabretta Leather – provides a soft ultra thin grip.
  • Rolled Index Finger – prevents uncomfortable twisted seams that can reduce control.
    Etonic Family of G>SOK Gloves:
G>SOK Ultimate – A full premium Cabretta leather tour designed glove featuring superior fit, feel and comfort. The G>SOK Ultimate glove is available in white with black Lycra for a suggested retail of $22.00.
G>SOK – This glove features premium leather on the palm and index finger combined with a proprietary Dri-Liteâ?¢ microfiber back along with a patent pending Stabilizer Island Thumbâ?¢ glove design for exceptional fit and precise grip. Available in white with black Lycra, white with silver Lycra, or black with black Lycra, the G>SOK glove has a suggested retail of $18.
G>SOK All Weather – This glove helps maintain the grip and feel in all temperatures and playing conditions. The proprietary DRI-LITEâ?¢ microfiber material with a Cabretta thumb, palm patch and Stabilizer Island Thumbâ?¢ design, provides a steady grip in all conditions. Available in white or black the All Weather glove retails for $12.00
G>SOK Rain Gloves – This pair of specially engineered gloves work better wet than dry. The palms feature Kuraray EGRIP material, engineered to increase its gripping power when wet. The DRI-LITEâ?¢ microfiber material on the back, along with the Stabilizer Island Thumb design, ensures a rock solid grip in the wettest playing conditions. The suggested retail for the pair is $20.00.
G>SOK Winter Gloves – The fleece-backed gloves provide extraordinary warmth on cold days. The palms are made with specially patterned leather that provides a great grip, while the backs are a thin, but warm microfiber fleece. These materials keep your hands warm, while giving you flexibility, comfort and a good grip when temperatures fall. The suggested retail for a pair is $20.00.
"We are very excited to offer a complete line of G>SOK gloves," continued Pitts. "Now golfers can enjoy the comfort and fit benefits of the G>SOK design in all types of weather conditions."
Along with the new family of G>SOK golf gloves, Etonic will also offer a custom glove program. The G>SOK custom golf glove features a magnetic custom ball marker for easy on and off access.
Etonic will support the G>SOK family of gloves with an integrated marketing program consisting of print advertising, glove displays and point of sale material. The G>SOK performance line of gloves will be available July 1, 2006.
