Feel Golf CEO Lee Miller PhD, announced this week "there’s a new sheriff coming to town, with an introduction of a new advanced wedge loft to the industry. We’ve done extensive research on lofts and while players love our 64 degree wedge, there is a breakthrough in the golfer’s arsenal forthcoming and that is the 73 degree wedge, known as "The 73."
"Working in concert with the renowned Charlie Sorrell, former PGA teacher of the year and one of the top short game teachers, we discovered golfers of all abilities, from Tour players to 25 handicappers, have a need for a club that is so versatile that you can hit it 3 feet, or 50 yards and most of all, it needs to be easy to use. "The 73"â?¢ degree while it seems like a lot of loft, just as the 60 and 64 degree did when first introduced years ago, it is very easy to use. The distance is completely controllable, more so than any other loft we’ve found to date. Distance and the type of shot ( 3 foot or 50 yards) is completed simply by means of ball placement…back if you want some distance out of it,… and forward if you really want to get up and down. We are very excited about this club and how it helped almost all the players involved in our testing" said Miller.
What makes this wedge a great option is the fact that the player can take their full "driver" swing and "The 73" eliminates the little "half swings" that cause problems. The player doesn’t need to play around with opening the face, or lack the confidence for those perfect high flop shots when short sided. "The 73" glides through the rough like a big mowing machine. Just find your personal ball position, which will range from the front foot to the rear foot, for your desired distance, and take a "driver" full swing. "The 73" degree does the work and eliminates the "in between" club syndrome.
Regardless of distance needed, the player can take their full swing and distance is so well controlled. This is a huge advantage because it simply takes away the likelihood of the dreaded mishit, caused when trying to finesse the "in between" short game approach. "The 73" when coupled with our Full Releaseâ?¢ performance grip is a great addition to any player’s bag.
"The 73" in our Satin finish, will unveil at the 2006 Fall PGA show.
Feel wedges, long known for their great feel and creativity have been used by some of the greatest players to ever play the game, and presently carried by players around the world.
