LEAWOOD, KANSAS (June 16, 2006) – Trying equals buying as Accu-Length demonstrated at three recent events why their products have moved to the forefront of junior golf club sales.
At Golfsmith’s Junior Golf Demo & Event Day on June 3 at the company’s store in Austin, Texas, Accu-Length far outsold all other junior golf clubs. The product’s recognition grew so strong at the Demo Day that Accu-Length was the only manufacturer interviewed on Channel 36, a local television station. Accu-Length helped stimulate sales for Golfsmith by offering a free Accu-Length Cabretta leather golf glove with the purchase of each set sold.
The Golfsmith event was the second time in recent weeks that Accu-Length showed that it had gotten deep into the heart of Texans. In May, Accu-Length entered into an agreement with the Northern Texas PGA Junior Golf Association to be the presenting sponsor of the 2006 NTPGA Ewing Buick Prep Tour presented by Accu-Length. The Tour, which started June 1, includes 44 scheduled events through August 10 in the Dallas-Fort Worth marketplace.
Accu-Length’s sales strength wasn’t just limited to The Lone Star State. Florida also shed its sunshine on Accu-Length. Again on June 3, at the Pro Golf of Tampa Demo Day in Tampa — the largest West Florida Outdoor Golf Demo Day – the Pro Golf of Tampa sold 10 sets of Accu-Length Expandable Junior Golf Clubs. The shop’s first order of 24 sets of Accu-Length clubs sold within the previous month.
"Accu-Length offers an unique product for juniors that not only save parents money, but is an incredibly effective club system for children who want to really learn how to play golf, " says Eric Ratcliffe, Owner, Pro Golf of Tampa, a Tampa-area golf mecca for the past 11 years. "The clubs are the only ones on the market that allow for a repeatable swing motion, which is so important for a junior golfer to maintain through the years. We enjoy working with this company and know the clubs will continue to be a popular item throughout the year."
Accu-Length also had products on display in Central Park in New York during the Green Magazine Golf Tour. Green Magazine will promote the products and offer four sets of clubs to adults at its upcoming Leadership Golf Tour events. Winners of the raffle can then give the Accu-Length clubs to their children, relatives, or other youthful recipients.
"Our sales at the Golfsmith and Pro Golf Tampa Demo Days show how strongly consumers are recognizing and regarding our products," says John Dougherty, Vice President of Sales for OnTrack Sports, LLC, makers of Accu-Length, the only Expandable Junior Golf Clubs. "Our quality speaks for itself, which is why Accu-Length is enjoying such an outstanding year in sales. Parents are seeing that Accu-Length’s technology is clearly helping their kids learn faster. At the same time, the children are enjoying playing with our clubs because their shots are going farther and straighter. Having fun and attaining results at the same time is quite a package."
Accu-Length has rapidly moved to the forefront of the junior golf club market because of its one-of-a-kind spacer system, which enables the club to lengthen and grow as the child grows, thereby eliminating the need to constantly purchase new clubs year in and year out. Over a 5-year period, that equates to a savings of up to $600.
Savings are only one important reason why parents are finding that Accu-Length’s custom fit clubs are the right fit for their youngsters. Accu-Length’s expandable club technology creates consistency in their swings for juniors that have long been so important to adult golfers. This helps junior golfers develop a repeatable swing motion and muscle memory which produces more consistent swings, resulting in straighter shots, longer hits, lower scores and most importantly, a more enjoyable golf experience for kids.
Accu-Length’s Expandable Junior Golf Clubs were named Best New Equipment Product at the 2005 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando.
