DENVER, Colo. – F2 Golf with its face forward technology made believers out of members of the media and industry insiders at this year’s International Network of Golf (ING) Spring Conference in Pinehurst, N.C. ING is a 16-year-old, non-profit, media-based networking organization whose mission is to enhance and promote communication and education in golf.
Members of the media got a chance to experience F2’s face forward technology and discovered how easy it was to hit flop shots and spin the ball with confidence and consistency.
"F2 wedges give you exceptional flight, distance, control and spin" said Tom Landers, Publisher of Golfing Magazine and a five handicapper. "If you want to be a better wedge player, you definitely want an F2 wedge in your bag."
The unique F2 face forward technology places the leading edge of the blade ahead of the hosel. This allows golfers to keep their hands in proper position ahead of the club throughout the shot eliminating shanks and a variety of miss-hit chips.
"Face forward technology is the first real advancement in sand wedges since Gene Sarazen invented the first one," said Jack O’Leary, Equipment Editor at Golfstyles. "If Colin Montgomerie had one on the 72nd hole of the U.S. Open, the champion might have had a Scottish burr instead of an Australian twang."
The wedges come in 52, 56, 58 and 60-degree models. F2 irons will be available later this summer.
