General Public Welcome to Attend Trade Show for FREE on Friday, September 15th
Bonita Springs, FL (June 23, 2006): The Florida Turfgrass Association is pleased to announce the schedule for the 54th Annual Conference and Show to be held at the Hyatt Coconut Point, Bonita Springs, Florida, September 12-15, 2006.
The FTGA’s 54th Annual Conference & Show includes a trade show with more than 70 of the turf industry’s leading vendors and suppliers, more than 50 educational classes offering Continuing Education Units for most segments of the industry including golf, sports turf, landscape, pesticide and sod production, as well as a multitude of opportunities for socializing and networking with members of Florida’s vibrant turfgrass industry.
In addition, homeowners and gardeners with an interest in golf turf, lawncare and landscape maintenance and innovations are invited to attend the trade show on Friday, September 15th during a special Free Admission event.
The event kicks off on Tuesday, September 12th with a fishing tournament to raise funds for turfgrass research.
On Wednesday, September 13th there will be an all-day class for pesticide certification as well as a golf tournament followed by the annual Corn Boil dinner event.
The activity really heats up on Thursday, September 14th, with a prayer breakfast, concurrent educational sessions, awards luncheon, and the opening of the trade show.
On Friday, the action continues with more education sessions, a continental breakfast in the trade show and the opening of free admission to the general public to the trade show.
The Florida Turfgrass Association conducts its annual Conference to update industry professionals and the general public about the latest developments in the turfgrass industry. The FTGA is a volunteer based, not-for-profit organization whose mission is to raise awareness of the value of turf through education and research, thus preserving the natural resources of our state and the enhancement of the quality of life of its residents.
