PACOIMA, Calif. — With his average drives topping more than 300 yards, Padraig Harrington scored a second-place tie at the Booz Allen Classic at TPC Avenel, playing Harrison graphite shafts. The strong finish marked the second consecutive Top-Five finish for Harrison shafts on the PGA Tour and continues to demonstrate Harrison renowned accuracy and consistency.
Harrington played a Harrison Striper Long Drive shaft in his driver and an Impulse shaft in his hybrid club to shoot 15-under par, including a final round of 66 which featured two early birdies followed by an eagle three on the par five sixth hole. Harrington will next wield his Harrison-shafted driver and hybrid club on the European Tour as he continues his quest for Ryder Cup points at the French Open.
"Earning back-to-back Top Five positions makes for an exciting weekend, and we congratulate Padraig on a great performance in very wet conditions," says Mike Cheng, president of Harrison Sports. "The Striper shaft series is composed of the industry’s finest graphite materials, and is well-known on the professional tours for providing an extremely tight shot dispersion, along with constant swing power and unmatched performance."
In addition to second-place, Harrington finished sixth at the tournament in average driving distance, and topped $1 million earnings on the season using Harrison graphite shafts.
