Bay Harbor, Mich., (July 5, 2006) – The Inn at Bay Harbor – A Renaissance Golf Resort, located in the resort community of Bay Harbor, Michigan and known for its stunning lakeside setting, earned high marks from readers and the #8 ranking on the 2006 list of the "Top 100 Golf Resorts" published in the June issue of Condeï?? Nast Traveler.
The affluent readers of the internationally distributed travel magazine were asked to evaluate resorts they had visited within the last three years from a list of 332 golf resorts located in North and Central America, the Caribbean and Atlantic, Ireland, and Scotland.
All golf resorts were rated on six criteria: course design, speed of play, accommodations, service, food and dining, and facilities. The Inn at Bay Harbor received an outstanding score of 92.1; the overall score is weighted as 20% course design, 10% speed of play, 17.5% accommodations, 17.5% service, 17.5% food and dining, and 17.5% facilities. The Inn at Bay Harbor is ranked just ahead of Scotland’s famed Gleneagles Resort, a future Ryder Cup venue. Also among the top-10 resorts are Four Seasons Resort Hualalai in Hawaii, Westin Turnberry Resort in Scotland, The Greenbrier in West Virginia, and top-ranked is Mexico’s Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita.
