Altamonte Springs, FL – Dana Quigley, 2005 Champions Tour Player Of The Year, and his Rife 2 Bar Blade putter appear to be back in top form! Quigley shot 9 under par on Sunday for a 54-Hole total of 18 under par to capture his 2nd straight victory at the Greater Kansas City Golf Classic this past weekend. Quigley struggled a bit during the first half of the 2006 Champions Tour season, due to some health issues he’d been dealing with, but now appears to have everything back on track as he tied a course record of 63 on Sunday and averaged only 24.5 putts per round. Quigley and his Rife 2 Bar Blade putter finished 1st in putting for the tournament averaging only 1.541 putts per GIR.
"Shooting 9 under on a course like this with these wind conditions feels pretty good," said Quigley. "I think I only had 24 or 25 putts per roundâ?¦I can’t remember the last time I did that. That Rife 2 Bar Blade was really getting the job done for me this weekend."
In addition to Quigley’s victory, Rife had two other Top 5 Finishes with their new Aussie and Cayman Blade putters and a Top Ten Finish with their 2 Bar Mallet putter as well.
"It’s great to see Dana healthy again and playing some of his best golf of the year," said Matt Molloy, COO of Rife Putters. "When he’s on his game and rolling his Two Bar putter like this, he’s awfully tough to beat. We’d like to congratulate Dana on this victory and let him know that we’re all behind him and we’re excited to see what the second half of the 2006 Champions Tour season holds."
Recent success on the PGA, Champions, European, Nationwide, LPGA, and Futures Tours have all the players talking about the revolutionary technology that Rife Putters offer. Rife’s patented RollGroove Technology has better feel, better performance, and is offered at a more affordable price when compared to the other high-end fully CNC milled putters on the market.
About Rife Putters
Rife Putters, LLC is the true innovator behind horizontal grooved face putter technology with a patent on specifically sized grooves since 1997. These precisely spaced grooves allow the putter to gently press into the cover of the ball and grip and lift it into an instant forward roll. Guerin Rife states, "just as grooves in irons help control spin so do grooves in a putter face." Other companies are now trying to imitate this patented technology but the spacing of the grooves is the true key to the gripping and lifting effect of grooved face putter technology. Horizontal RollGroove faced putters create the truest "no skid" roll in golf no matter where you hit the ball on the putter face.
