Nike Golf Continues to Dominate in Driver, Iron Wins on PGA Tour

BEAVERTON, Ore. (July 10, 2006) – Nike Golf’s Tour success continues to charge full speed ahead. At last week’s Cialis Western Open, Nike Golf Tour Staff member Trevor Immelman captured his first victory on the PGA Tour, bringing to eight the total number of wins by Nike Golf’s talented athletes. In addition to Immelman’s win, the tournament’s leader board was dominated by Nike Golf athletes as five of the top-10 finishers were head-to-toe Nike Golf Tour Staff members: (1) Immelman (T2) Tiger Woods (T4) Stewart Cink (T4) Carl Pettersson (T10) Jason Gore.

With Immelman’s triumph, Nike Golf, a company that first introduced clubs at retail just four short years ago, is enjoying yet another banner year, having generated 13 global victories and dominating the PGA Tour. Using the power and geometry of Nike’s SasQuatch Driver, in combination with Nike Golf’s innovative ball and club technology, Nike Golf athletes have propelled Nike Golf to prominent success:

· Eight wins on the PGA Tour

· Four wins internationally

· One win on the Nationwide Tour

· Leads the PGA Tour with the most Driver wins with eight

· Leads the PGA Tour with most Iron wins with eight

· Leads the PGA Tour with most wedge wins with eight

· Leads the PGA Tour with most fairway woods wins with eight

· Seven wins with the One Platinum ball on PGA Tour

Immelman, winner of four PGA European Tour victories, fended off the impressive Cialis Western Open field by his spectacular iron play and precise shot making. Using Nike Golf’s Pro Combo OS irons, Immelman led the field with the most birdies and also ranked number one in greens in regulation.

With the combination of Nike’s award-winning SasQuatch Driver and Nike’s One Platinum ball, Immelman’s drives averaged 299.5 yards. Rounding out his bag were his Ignite T60 fairway wood and his 56 and 60-degree Nike SV wedges. Immelman also wore Nike Golf Apparel, SP 7 Nike Golf Footwear and the Nike Tour Feel glove.
