MADISON, WI — With a first place prize of $1 million at stake, players from the U.S. Pro Golf Tour used the Laser Link Distance System to provide them with accurate distance measurements during the inaugural Trump Million Dollar Invitational, a Major Championship of the U.S. Pro Golf Tour.

Over 100 professional golfers traveled to Trump International Golf Club at Raffles Resort Canouan Island in the Caribbean to compete in a 54-hole stroke-play qualifier to determine who would advance to the grand prize matches. Jim Fazio’s picturesque and challenging design demands accuracy, and each player knew that being accurate meant the difference between elimination and competing for the $1-million prize.

"Laser Link was honored to be a part of the inaugural Trump Million Dollar Invitational," said Laser Link President Rob O’Loughlin. "I heard over and over from the players that they were thrilled to be able to use the Laser Link Distance System, especially when a million dollars was on the line. For most of the U.S. Pro Golf Tour players, this was the biggest golf event of their lives, and they were ecstatic when Mr. Trump provided them all QuickShot rangefinders to use during the event."

Mr. Trump got to see the firsthand the benefits of the QuickShot rangefinder during a practice round before the tournament. He instantly requested the Laser Link Distance System be put in at both his Bedminster and Westchester courses.

"What could be more flattering than professional golfers relying on the Laser Link Distance system while trying to win a million dollars?" O’Loughlin asked. "Maybe one thing, Mr. Trump falling in love with our system and putting it in at his courses."

Laser Link Golf became the official rangefinder for the event, and is now a permanent fixture at Trump International Golf Club- Raffles Resort.

The dramatic finish, along with all of the excitement, drama and heartbreak from the Trump Million Dollar Invitational will re-air on ESPN2 on July 12 from 2:30-4:30 p.m. ET.
