PLANO, TEXAS, July 10, 2006 – Adams Golf (OTCBB:ADGO) announces that the winner of the Cialis Western Open played an Idea Pro hybrid for his breakthrough victory on the PGA TOUR. The 18-degree hybrid will be part of the new Idea Pro hybrid iron set scheduled to appear in the marketplace later this year.
"Playing a part in a victory at the historic Western Open is something that we are very proud of at Adams Golf," said Tim Reed, Vice President of Research & Development. "The hybrids that we’ve designed are not only the best-selling at the retail level, but they are showing up in more and more bags of elite golfers on the professional tours. This is a trend that we believe will continue, in fact, we think hybrids and hybrid iron sets will eventually be the preferred choice of all types of golfers because they help make the game easier and more enjoyable."
Along with the Western Open Champion, two other Top 10 finishers played an Adams hybrid, including an 18-degree Idea a2 and an 18-degree Adams Tour prototype hybrid. Overall, Adams Golf claimed the #2 spot in the hybrid equipment count on the PGA TOUR this past week and Darrell Survey data indicates that statistic is true for the entire year on tour.
