Investments in Updates Demonstrate Company’s Commitment to Golf Course Partners
(CHANDLER, Ariz.) – ProLink Solutions — a wholly-owned subsidiary of ProLink Holdings Corp. (OTC BB: PLKH) and the world’s leading provider of Global Positioning Satellite ("GPS") systems for golf courses — today announces major software updates to its recently unveiled GameStar and ProStar units, providing its golf course partners with real-time, remote capabilities that set the industry standard for service and reliability.
The GameStar and ProStar updates distinguish ProLink — already the category leader in dependability, service and player amenities — as the only GPS provider substantially investing in customer support and product upgrades. The enhancements include new event and tournament-management capabilities, food-and-beverage ordering options and a full-screen, "end-of-round" ad position that expands ProStar’s existing advertising capacity.
ProStar can now prompt golfers for their preferred distance measurements (yards or meters) — a key feature as ProLink continues its rapid global expansion. The new ProStar offers enhanced food menu operation, giving golfers more options from the comfort of their carts; the ability to display a full-screen tournament leaderboard via remote monitor on club grounds; and added value for advertisers in the form of a full-screen ad placement that appears when golfers have completed their final hole.
GameStar now features efficient remote configuration of items including menus, pro tips and pace-of-play targets. Likewise, software updates are loaded via radio network, while Web-based data backup ensures quick recovery from server issues. The new GameStar also offers simplified tournament set-up with drag-and-drop interface and Excel compatibility; single-leaderboard scoring for shotgun tournaments contested over 27-hole courses; and on-screen menus for multiple food-and-beverage outlets at facilities with on-course snack shops. ProStar is also equipped for remote programming and with many of the above-mentioned features.
"The introduction of real-time capabilities strengthens ProLink Solutions’ position as the industry standard-bearer for innovation and serviceability," said Lawrence Bain, President and CEO of ProLink Solutions. "Golf course operators and advertisers will realize significant gains in efficiency while golfers’ experience is bolstered with exciting new player-friendly elements."
Implementation of the system updates has begun at all courses with ProLink installations and will continue over the coming months. New courses engaging with ProLink will be equipped with the most up-to-date software.
Introduced at the 2006 PGA Merchandise Show and featuring ProLink’s patented heads-up, 10.4" high resolution color screen — the industry’s largest – GameStar and ProStar’s large font sizes and display allow golfers of all ages to view the dynamic graphical overviews, distances to the pin, fairway hazards, landmarks, undulations, pro tips, pace-of-play timer and radial arc for cart path only holes, along with many other features.
GameStar and ProStar allow courses to reduce round times by up to 30 minutes via the accurate GPS distance information and pace-of-play timer on the in-cart computer display, resulting in additional tee times on busy days. The pro shop may also send speed of play reminders and storm warnings, as well as information on daily specials and upcoming events that can significantly bolster revenue.
About the ProLink System
Innovators of golf GPS technology, ProLink Solutions’ core philosophy is to be a "Trusted Partner" in golf course management. From enhancing golfers’ overall experience and improving pace-of-play, to bolstering revenue streams and creating new ProFit centers, ProLink Solutions products and services have captured markets both nationally and globally.
Installed at more than double the courses of its competitors, combined, ProLink is featured at more than 500 resort, private and public courses worldwide, including Valderrama Golf Club in Sotogrande, Spain; Dal-Takararazuka in Osaka, Japan; and Kapalua Resort in Maui, Hawaii. The world’s most respected golf management companies have also adopted the innovative technology and marketing richness: Billy Casper Golf, Evergreen Alliance Group, Kemper Sports, and Pacific Golf Management all engage with ProLink.
Golf cart fleets are custom fit with 10.4" high-resolution color monitors that broadcast vibrant, easy-to-read graphics of each hole. Throughout their rounds, golfers continually refer to the screen to pinpoint distances, locate hazards, navigate the golf course and to place food-and-beverage orders with the touch of a button. The ability to relay medical emergencies and receive dangerous weather condition warnings from the pro shop provides golfers with a full suite of communication tools.
From the pro shop, management utilizes the ProLink system to monitor golf cart fleets and optimize operations using fully-integrated, Windows-based workstations. The precise locations of golf carts, color-coded pace-of-play status for each cart, as well as cart battery levels and other wear and tear indicators are readily available. Robust back-end reporting through user-friendly software yields a multitude of course statistics, all designed to raise the bottom line. Courses engaging with ProLink report pace-of-play improvements of up to 30 minutes per round, resulting in four additional rounds per day.
Food-and-beverage managers are able to post daily lunch specials and/or high margin items on the ProLink units, boosting sales by up to 30 percent. Event planners are able to maximize tournament and corporate outing revenue via the ProLink system. Through its ScoreCast and ScoreMaster software suites, ProLink units offer a simplified-yet-comprehensive tournament set-up that allows for any format and for any number of tournaments to be carried out simultaneously.
ProLink Solutions also offers financial solutions through ProLink Capital for leasing the system, fleet expansions, or course improvements. The ProFit program is another alternative for courses to leverage financing options and generate substantial advertising revenues to substantially reduce or eliminate the system cost.
Risks and uncertainties are described in reports filed by ProLink Holdings, Corp with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission.
