Baugh to Co-Host with Brad Brewer Of Shingle Creek Golf Club
ORLANDO (July 17, 2006) – Laura Baugh, Golf Channel personality and LPGA veteran, will team up with Brad Brewer for the inaugural Shingle Creek Executive Women’s Golf Retreat, October 5-8, 2006, at the new Rosen Shingle Creek resort in Orlando.
The resort, featuring the highly-acclaimed and award-winning Shingle Creek Golf Course and the Brad Brewer Golf Academy, will be celebrating the opening of its new, luxurious 1,500-room hotel one month prior.

About Laura Baugh: Baugh brings more than 30 years of golf knowledge and acumen to the program. She is the new host of The Golf Channel-UK, which provides tournament coverage of LPGA events in the United Kingdom. She has also covered golf events in the United States and overseas for The Golf Channel, CBS, and TNT.
Before entering broadcasting, Baugh compiled a solid playing career. She won her first tournament at the age of three led and later captured the 1971 Women’s US Amateur at the age of 16. A year later Baugh represented the United States as a member of both the Curtis Cup and World Cup teams.
In 1973, Baugh was named the LPGA Rookie of the Year and then turned professional the following year. Although never winning an LPGA tournament, Baugh amassed nearly a dozen 2nd place finishes and almost 70, top-10 finishes. She is currently active on the Legends Tour. Baugh is the author of a best-selling book entitled, Out of the Rough.
About Brad Brewer: A PGA class-A Professional, Brad successfully competed on the Australasian PGA Tour and Hogan/Nike Tours and applies these experiences to his teaching and coaching. Brad was awarded the North Florida PGA Teacher of the Year and recognized as a top ranked instructor in America by both Golf Digest and Golf Magazine. Brad’s dedication to teaching the game comes directly from his lifelong relationship with golf’s legend Arnold Palmer. He continues to learn from his friendship and coaching relationships with several PGA and LPGA teaching and playing professionals, including: Ian Baker-Finch, Bradley Hughes, Sandra Palmer, Scott Hoch and Robert and Patrick Damron. Brad’s passion for growing the game of golf resulted in being named the 2006 Junior Golf Leader by the North Florida section of the PGA of America.
