ATLANTA – July 17, 2006 Srixon Staff Professionals collected 5 Top 10s on four Tours across the globe on Sunday, July 16, 2006. Alex Cejka tied for third at the John Deere Classic at the TPC at Deere Run in Silvis, IL. Cejka played with Srixon’s Z-UR prototype golf ball and I-302 irons to shoot a 16-under par total, 268 total (69-68-64-67). Cejka’s tie for third was his best finish of the season.
Across the Atlantic, Defending Scottish Open Champion Tim Clark tied for fifth at the Barclays Scottish Open at the Loch Lomond Golf Club, Scotland. Clark played with Srixon’s Z-UR prototype golf ball and Srixon forged irons to fire a 10-under par total, 274 total (69-67-69-69). Clark, currently ranked 17th in the world, has 5 Top 10s this season including a solo second place at The Masters. He is ranked in the Top 25 on the 2006 PGA TOUR money list and is 9th in birdie average. Clark also ranks 13th on the 2006 EUROPEAN TOUR order of merit in just 5 events.
Fuzzy Zoeller moved up 7 spots on the Champion’s Tour money list with his tie for 9th place finish at the Ford Senior Players Championship in Dearborn, MI. Zoeller played with the Srixon Z-UR golf ball to shoot a 10-under par, 278 total (65-72-73-68) This was his third Top 10 of the season.
On the Nationwide Tour, Kyle Thompson and Michael Harris came in tied for 3rd and tied for 8th place respectively at the Scholarship America Showdown at Somerby in Byron, MN. Thompson tied for third place and aced the 13th hole on Sunday playing with Srixon’s I-506 irons and Z-UR prototype golf ball. His 14-under par, 274 total (69-68-67-70) was his third Top 10 of the season and moves him up 21 spots to 36th on the Nationwide Tour money list. Harris played with the Srixon Z-UR golf ball and Srixon I-506 irons to fire an 11-under par, 277 total (71-70-68-68) for his best finish of the season.
Srixon now has 24 Top 10s on the PGA TOUR this season, two of which are Top 2 finishes in the first two majors this year: Tim Clark, The Masters and Jim Furyk, The U.S. Open.
