When visitors talk about their favorite golf courses in Las Vegas, Paiute Resort always rates near the top, and for good reason. Three Pete Dye-designed courses, a fabulous clubhouse with stunning views, and service worthy of a private country club combine to provide the very best golf experience Las Vegas has to offer.
And now attendees at the ING Fall Media Forum will experience Paiute Resort for themselves. The Triple Play Mixer will be contested at Paiute on Monday, Sept. 11, as part of the three-day annual gathering of golf media and industry leaders.
The ING conference is open to anyone in the golf industry or golf media. It is conducted by the non-profit International Network of Golf. Deadline for room reservations is August 1.
New York-New York Hotel & Casino and Mandalay Bay Convention Center, located within three blocks of each other along the exciting southern portion of the Las Vegas Strip, are hosting the 5th ING Fall Media Forum.
Next door to Mandalay Bay is Bali Hai, a highly ranked golf course that will host the ING and PGA Fall Expo Golf Outing on Tuesday at 2 p.m.
About Paiute Resort
Resting in the undisturbed beauty of the Southern Nevada desert at the base of the picturesque Spring Mountains is the Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort.
Three championship golf courses, conceived and designed by world-renowned architect Pete Dye, sit comfortably in a quiet, tranquil setting. The Vegas Golfer magazine has named Paiute "The Best Overall Experience" three years running, and Wolf has been named the "Best Upscale Course" two consecutive years.
Wolf Course – From the beauty of its natural desert surroundings to the stunning island green of the signature fifteenth hole, the Wolf Course brings a dramatic golf adventure to life.
Snow Mountain Course – Considered a kinder and gentler Pete Dye design that offers a challenge to golfers of any skill level. Ranked number one public access golf course in Las Vegas by Golf Digest.
Sun Mountain Course – The second Pete Dye designed 18-hole championship course takes advantage of the beautiful scenery and natural rolling terrain of the Southern Nevada desert to create a world-class golf experience.
The Paiute Resort’s Bar & Grill area offers a panoramic view of Snow Mountain’s 18th hole and the Sheep mountain range.
About The ING Fall Media Forum
Anyone involved in, or interested in working with, the regional and niche golf publishing business should not miss this ING Fall Media Forum. Two new programs have been structured with the specific goal of helping publishers and producers increase their revenue.
One deals specifically with apparel. Publishers and editors will learn how enhanced coverage of apparel can bring additional advertising revenue and promotional programs with local golf courses and retail shops. Local pro shops depend so heavily on soft good sales, and regional publications usually have solid relationships with the local courses. Combine those two facts, and revenue opportunities are born. This workshop will teach regional publishers how to improve their coverage of apparel, then how to take advantage of the opportunities that result.
New this year is the "Discover Regional Magazines" Breakfast. Media of all types will display materials and copies of their magazine or show, so business executives can learn more about the specific outlets. These display tables are free of charge to the media outlets, but are limited in number. They will remain on display throughout the PGA Fall Expo in the ING Hospitality Room.
Returning this year is the popular Solutions Breakfast. Attendees will choose among several subjects to discuss over breakfast, with leaders of each topic facilitating discussions at each table. This will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 12.
There will also be two golf events – the Triple Play Mixer, where three formats will be utilized during the competition, and the PGA Fall Expo golf outing at highly ranked Bali Hai. That event will feature an ING competition within the PGA Fall Expo. Companies can sponsor their own 4-player teams. A team draft will be held the night before.
There will also be product displays and presentations during the three-day meeting.
Registration deadline is August 1 for the hotel rooms. To register or for more information, call 407-328-0500 or visit http://www.inggolf.com/.
