Denver, Co, July 24, 2006 . . . YES! Golf announced today that LPGA TOUR standout Jeong Jang has signed a multi-year agreement with the company that pioneered C-groove putter technology. Jang, the defending Women’s British Open champion, has continued her success on tour in 2006 with 7 top ten finishes including a win last month at the Wegmans LPGA.
"JJ is an outstanding player and a very poised professional," stated Francis Ricci, CEO YES! Golf. "We
really enjoy working with her and value the feedback she has given us on future YES! Golf putter models."
Since turning professional in 2000, Jang, 26, has earned over $3.5 million on the LPGA TOUR. She is currently 10th on the 2006 LPGA money list. Jang will be defending her Women’s British Open title next month at the Royal Lytham & St. Annes in Lancashire England.
Jang used the new Victoria II model to win the Wegmans LPGA. The putter is a face-balanced mallet putter made of 304 stainless steel, featuring a 10% larger head than the original Victoria. She won the British Open with the Tracy, a popular face balanced double bend shafted putter.
As part of the agreement, Jang will be used in the company’s advertising and promotional material. Other terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
