Idea Hybrids Rank #1 for Second Consecutive Week
PLANO, TEXAS, July 24, 2006 -With 51 of its Idea hybrids in play at the Price Cutter Charity Championship, Adams Golf (OTCBB:ADGO) set a new Nationwide Tour hybrid count record, according to the Darrell Survey. Adams Golf now holds the individual event hybrid count record on both the Nationwide (51 hybrids – Price Cutter Charity Championship) and Champions Tour (74 hybrids – Senior PGA Championship). The Price Cutter Charity Championship also marked the second consecutive Nationwide Tour event that Adams Golf has ranked #1 in the overall hybrid count.
"The hybrid category is the most competitive category right now on tour," said Max Puglielli, Adams Golf Director of Tour Operations. "Every manufacturer is working hard to try and establish their hybrids on tour. We’ve been able to separate ourselves from the pack by having more Idea hybrids put in play in 2006 on the Nationwide, Champions and PGA Tour, combined. We’re winning the hybrid race and we’re not going to slow down because we believe hybrids and hybrid iron sets are the future of golf and we’ll continue to be the leaders in the industry."
Many of the top performers at the Price Cutter Charity Championship played at least one Idea hybrid, including seven of the Top 20 finishers. Along with leading the hybrid count, Adams Golf finished in the #2 spot of the fairway wood count and in third place in the overall wood count.
