OLYMPIC VALLEY, Calif., July 24, 2006 â?¦ With daytime temperatures in the high 70s and low 80s and course conditions as immaculate as they’ve been all year, there couldn’t be a more perfect time to cool off with a hot golf getaway here at Resort at Squaw Creek and the AAA Four-Diamond property’s Robert Trent Jones, Jr.-designed championship links-style layout.

Located in the pristine meadow at the base of Squaw Valley USA, less than 10 miles from Tahoe City and Lake Tahoe, this picturesque par-71 course — honored as one of the top resort courses in northern California by Golf Today — can be played for a 50 percent daily discount with the purchase of a "Creek Card." The resort’s "Creek Card," available to both resort guests and the general public for $100, entitles bearers to an 18-hole round at half price, a shared golf cart, valet parking and a bucket of range balls.

Early summer rates are in effect through July 31 (August rates follow in parenthesis):

Resort rate — $85 ($95, Friday-Saturday)

Public rate — $90 ($110, Fri.-Sat.)

Junior [17 and under] fee — $45 (no change)

Twilight [3 p.m. guests, 3:30 p.m. public] rate — $55 (no change)

Moreover, the resort is offering an "Unlimited Golf Package," featuring nightly accommodations in a recently renovated suite, plus unlimited rounds of golf per day per guest. The day begins with a breakfast buffet at Six Peaks Grille. The package price starts at $215 (per person, per night).

Fresh from a dramatic $53 million renovation, the resort features 405 guest rooms and suites; four distinct restaurants; a luxury spa and full-service salon; exclusive boutique shopping; a 25-meter heated pool; three hot tubs; kids and plunge pools; a 120-foot water slide; outdoor tennis courts; and Mountain Buddies, a fully-supervised children’s program.

Moreover, guests are only minutes away from accessing Squaw Valley’s world-renowned cable car, which carries passengers up 2,000 vertical feet to the High Camp Bath & Tennis Club.

For tee times and/or more information about the "Unlimited Golf Package" as well as Resort at Squaw Creek, call (800) 327-3353 or (530) 583-6300, or visit www.squawcreek.com.
