Two West Sussex golf clubs are the first in the country to offer access to a 24-hour, free-to-view broadband golf channel.
Chichester Golf Club and its sister venue in Worthing, Hill Barn Golf Club, have been chosen as pilot clubs for the ’embedding’ of GolfBug.tv – an exciting internet-based TV station which launched in April.
The channel provides golf enthusiasts with an informative and entertaining daily schedule of programming featuring areas of interest for players of all levels.
The managing director of GolfBug.tv, Andrew Cooke, said: "We are looking to embed our channel on good quality websites of interest to golfers.
"Naturally golf clubs is a market we are looking at carefully and we were impressed with the quality of the Chichester and Hill Barn websites and, importantly, the regularity of its updating.
"Visitors to the site will now be able to click on the link and see GolfBug.tv for themselves. If the scheme is a success with visitors to these websites, we would look to roll it out to similarly progressive golf clubs," added Cooke.
Sally Haygarth, owner of Chichester Golf Club, said: "We are delighted to be part of the broadcasting revolution that is taking place within golf and the internet.
"It would appear there is massive potential in this form of broadcasting and it enables us to offer a unique service through our website."
GolfBug.tv shows news from the pro tours, expert tuition, information about some of the world’s best courses and resorts, interviews with leading characters in the game, as well as reviews of the latest equipment.
