Winter Garden, FL, July 31, 2006… Golf Range Magazine has selected Orange County National’s Tooth Course as one of the Top Short Courses in America for 2006. The award is based on course layout and design, customer service, community outreach and community involvement. Since opening in 1999, the Tooth Course has been utilized to promote the game of golf among beginners, juniors and families.
"We are honored that Golf Range Magazine recognized the Tooth Course as one of the best in the country," noted Bruce Gerlander, general manager, OCN. "It is such an integral part of our award winning practice facility. It is a great way for beginners to play the game on a less intimidating layout. The Tooth is an easy course for juniors to walk which allows families to enjoy playing together at their own pace."
The Tooth Course is a 9 hole, 1,563 yard; par 29 Executive Course which is part of Orange County National’s 42-acre world-class practice facility. The course opened in January 1999 and green fees range from $15.00 – $25.00. Throughout the year, OCN offers special "Learn to Play" programs for adults and children to promote the game. The summer special at the Tooth Course allows junior golfers to play for free with a paying adult.
