CHAMP From Sea To Sea.

Marlborough,MA- July 31st, 2006- CHAMP Spikes/MacNeill Engineering continued their winning ways with victories on multiple continents winning the PGA U.S. Bank Championship in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and The European Deutsche Bank Players Championship in Germany.

At the U.S. Bank Championship in Milwaukee, the winner found his way back to the podium as he won his first PGA Tour title a decade. The 46 year-old victor wore CHAMP’s Stingerâ?¢ spikes in firing a final round 3-under 67 to take a two-stroke victory over his closest opponent. The champion, who led the tournament from wire to wire, shot a blistering 61 on Thursday. He won the tournament 20 years ago and two decades later, became the 8th two-time champion in Milwaukee.

At the European Deutsche Bank, the frontrunner shot a final round 5-under 67 to finish with a four stroke victory. Again, CHAMP dominated the field as 65% of the players sported their spikes.

"Tour victories are great," said Harris MacNeill, president of CHAMP Spikes. "They validate our claim that our spikes are the number one brand on tour. No matter what fastening system is being used, we make spikes to fit all shoes. We are having a great year with our spikes and look to carry that momentum into 2007 with announcements of several key golf shoe manufacturers switching to our patented CHAMP Q-LOK Fastening System®."

The Q-LOK System revolutionized the golf shoe industry. It features a patented design based on two interlocking triangles – a female receptacle located in the shoe’s sole, and a male fastener attached to the golf cleat or spike. Using a wrench, the Q-LOK cleat/spike can be locked into the corresponding receptacle, with a clockwise quarter turn. Conversely, a counterclockwise quarter turn releases the cleat/spike from the receptacle, which features a custom internal spring that eases cleat/spike removal. Q-LOK’s innovative quarter turn click and lock system makes the traditional threaded post and receptacle system obsolete.
