ITASCA, IL. – August 3, 2006 – The Excel Golf Tee Company, manufacturer of the "Winningest" high performance golf tee on the PGA Tour, announced today that the winner of the REMAX Junior World Long Drive Championship Chevy Stauffacher played a Zero Friction Golf Tee during the three-day grass roots event.
"Chevy is an exceptional long ball hitter. Stauffacher, an eight-grade student competed in the 10-12 year old division. His qualifying scores were culminated from the best three drives out of 18. Golfers were required to land the ball on a grid on 40 yards wide or it was deemed a foul. Not only did the Zero Friction Golf Tee add distance to Stauffacher’s drives but kept him accurate.

During the championship round, Stauffacher drove his ball a distance of 311 yards, 20 yards past the second place finisher. This outstanding drive set his second world record of the championship.
