Record 52 Idea Hybrids in Play at Nationwide Tour’s Cox Classic
PLANO, TEXAS, August 8, 2006 -With 52 of its hybrids in play at the Nationwide Tour’s Cox Classic, Adams Golf (OTCBB:ADGO) set a new single-event hybrid count record, according to Darrell Survey results. Adams Golf established the previous record of 51 hybrids in play three weeks ago at the Price Cutter Charity Championship. The Cox Classic also marked the fourth consecutive Nationwide Tour event that Adams Golf has led the hybrid count.
"The amount of Adams Golf hybrids that Nationwide Tour pros are choosing to use is not only impressive but also something that makes our entire company very proud," said Max Puglielli, Adams Golf Tour Operations Director. "The high numbers indicate that the design, engineering and performance of our clubs meet the strict demands these elite golfers have as they try to reach the PGA TOUR. There is so much at stake with every shot on this tour, having Adams Golf clubs in the hands of so many is very rewarding."
Along with having a record number of its hybrids in play and leading the hybrid count, Adams Golf also played a part in the Cox Classic victory. The tournament champion played an 18-degree Idea Pro hybrid en route to his second tour win of the season, which elevated him to the top of the Nationwide Tour Money List.
Also of note:
– 11 of the Top 28 finishers at the Cox Classic played an Idea hybrid.
