ITASCA, IL. – August 7, 2006 – The Excel Golf Tee Company, manufacturer of the "Winningest" high performance golf tee with 18 professional tour victories and over some 120 top-10 PGA Tour finishes announced today that the only PGA Tour stop in Michigan produced another top-10 finish for Zero Friction Golf Tees.

In Grand Blanc this past weekend, Zero Friction Golf Tees were used by a native Floridian to shoot some inspiring scores of -68, -68, -69, and -65. His impressive play tied him for seventh place at the Buick Open, his fourth top-10 of the 2006 season.

"This PGA Tour veteran racked up some really amazing scores using the Zero Friction Golf Tee. We thought with the inclement weather his scores would be much higher in the early rounds, we’re glad we were wrong," says Mike Herron, Business Development Manager for Excel Golf Tees, Inc. "We at Excel Golf Tees are really pleased that this professional continues to use the Zero Friction Golf Tee at every tournament he plays."

The Zero Friction Golf Tee with its unique three-pronged design significantly reduces the contact area between the golf ball and the tee. At impact, this small degree of contact reduction or resistance results in increased accuracy and distance. In an independent laboratory Zero Friction Golf Tees were proven to be the longest and most accurate tees used on Tour.

For bigger driver heads, a new, longer, 3-¼" ZF tee model is now available and not only for the Professionals but for every golfer. And for the traditionalists, a new ZF Hardwood has begun shipping into the marketplace.

"We always mention our top-10 finishes on the PGA Tour but this past weekend we also enjoyed a tie for eleventh place and this PGA Tour player also continues to use the Zero Friction Golf Tee in every PGA Tour event he plays, " adds Herron.

Zero Friction Golf Tees have been put into play to secure 18 professional tour victories. Ten victories came from the PGA Tour, three from the Nationwide Tour, one from the LPGA Tour, and five from the LPGA of Japan.

Zero Friction Golf Tees are not only popular on the PGA, LPGA, and Nationwide Tours, but they are incredibly popular on the LDA Tour, so popular that the company decided to become a major sponsor of the Long Driver of America Association and the Exclusive Golf Tee of the RE/MAX World Long Drive Championship. The company also signed long-driving legend Sean "The Beast" Fister to use and endorse the company’s revolutionary Zero Friction Golf Tees.

Excel Golf Tee, Inc. of Itasca, IL, a full-service distributor of wooden golf tees serving the golf industry manufactures the entire Zero Friction Golf Tee line. Its goal is to provide the highest quality tees at an affordable price with timely and economical distribution.
