CELEBRATION, FL— For the second year in a row, Mystic Dunes Golf Club will host the Darrell Armstrong Celebrity Golf Tournament to benefit the Darrell Armstrong Foundation for Premature Babies. The event will be held on Monday, September 11, 2006. This year’s title sponsors are Wayne Densch Charities and Mystic Dunes Golf Club.
Registration and breakfast will begin at 7:00 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m. An awards banquet will be held immediately following the scramble.
"Darrell truly wants to make a difference in the Central Florida community and Mystic Dunes is glad to support his cause," said Melissa Suttles, Mystic Dunes Golf Club General Manager. "As the host and a sponsor, we hope that the weekend is a huge success for the foundation and we are able to help many area families."

The tournament is part of Darrell’s 2006 Annual Celebrity Weekend, scheduled for the weekend of Friday September 8, 2006 to Monday, September 11, 2006 in Orlando.
The weekend begins on Friday, September 8 with a VIP casino night. On Saturday, September 9, a basketball clinic will feature NBA professionals, including Darrell, demonstrating and teaching techniques to local children. On Sunday, September 10, a Celebrity bowl-a-thon is scheduled during the afternoon with a Celebrity Dinner and Auction Bash planned in the evening.
The weekend wraps up on Monday, September 11 with a five-person scramble at Mystic Dunes Golf Club. Past celebrities in attendance include Vince Carter, Shaquille O’Neal, Grant Hill and Lisa Leslie.
"We are a non-profit organization whose goal is to provide assistance to needy families of premature babies," said Armstrong on his web site. "We help provide funds for hospital care, specialized equipment, special services as well as serving as a referral center to help families get in touch with the appropriate health care and service providers."
Mystic Dunes Golf Club, a high-end daily fee course, is open to the public and is located at the Wyndham Palms Resort and C.C. in Orlando, Fla.
