During the first half of the 2006 season, professional golfers have achieved wins on the PGA, European, Canadian, and Champions Tours using putters equipped with Balance-Certified Golf’s proprietary Pro-Balance shaft weighting system. The most recent win came on the PGA Tour at the B.C. Open held at Atunyote Golf Club in Vernon, N.Y. The Player averaged 27.0 putts per rounds and 1.66 putts per green in regulation. He closed on Sunday with a very impressive 64.
Balance-Certified Golf’s (BCG’s) President Jeff Lindner said, "We have significantly stepped up our Tour presence at every level this year. We have always believed that Tour presence is extremely important. This particular win was a bonus for us because we did not realize that the winner was using our technology until a week after the event had concluded. The Player was actually fit by the Macgregor Tour Representative. It is hard for us to keep up with all the players using our technology now that several major manufacturers carry out products on their bags or in their Tour support vans."
The winner was using a MacGregor putter designed by Bobby Grace. Once the player was fitted for putter length, lie, loft, and head weight, BCG’s Pro-Balanceâ?¢ shaft weighting system was used to fit the inertial properties or "balance" of the putter to the player through a proprietary process called Motion Balancing. John Cranston, Balance-Certified’s Vice President, added, "Recently, we have had very good results combining our weighting system with Bobby’s putter head designs. The adjustable weight feature of his heads helps us to better tune a putter to a player’s particular swing characteristics. In fact, we like their putters so much that we now have made them available to our customers through our web site, www.balance-certified.com. We even include a complementary Pro-Balance shaft weight with each putter at no extra charge."
BCG’s Pro-Balanceâ?¢ line introduces strategically located weights that can be used to adjust a golf club’s vibration and response characteristics and can be installed in any brand of golf equipment. "We are the first and only company to take golf club dynamics to a scientific level making ‘feel’ a definable and tunable parameter," added Lindner. BCG is the leader in Tour balancing and fitting with their patent pending shaft weighting system. Fitting only takes 10 to 15 minutes and installation takes less than two minutes. The system’s MSRP is $39.95. The company has streamlined the dealer application process by making the application accessible via their website, www.balance-certified.com, and providing their dealers with DVD, online support and training. BCG has a national presence on Tour with Tom Jenkins dominating the Champions Tour in recent years with his Balance-Certified equipped putter and Scott Hoch serving as Technical Advisor to the company.
