DEL MAR, CA – August 15, 2006 – Rockroller LLC, makers of golf’s only tee-to-green training system, announced today that it has signed Tim Clark to endorse its training products. Clark has been using Rockroller’s popular Tempotimer for the past year, and appears in the company’s infomercial which airs on The Golf Channel.
The Tempotimer, which is part of the Ernie Els Training System, is a weighted (9.5 oz.) sleeve that fits on the shaft of any club in your bag and helps improve tempo, timing, distance, strength and accuracy. From chipping to driving, over 100 professional golfers in the U.S. and around the world are now using the Tempotimer to fine tune their swing while hitting balls with every club in their bag.
"I’m very pleased to be associated with Rockroller," said Clark. "I use the Tempotimer to hit full shots with my 8-iron and driver. It’s been a huge help keeping my tempo consistent. I also like to use it when I’m practicing chip shots."
Clark, who turned pro in 1998, had his best career finish this year after practicing regularly with the Tempotimer. He finished second at the 2006 Masters Tournament and ranks 25th in the Official World Golf Ranking. He currently ranks 11th in birdie average on the PGA TOUR.
"Tim is becoming a major competitive force on Tour," said Brad Adams, Co-Founder, Rockroller, LLC. "We’re very happy to have him represent Rockroller and we look forward to a great partnership."
The Tempotimer has become a popular training device for tour professionals, coaches, teachers and top amateurs, according to Adams. It is one of three training devices found in The Ernie Els Training System. In addition to the Tempotimer, the Training System includes the Stimpdimpleâ?¢ and the Rockrollerâ?¢, which are all designed to provide a training system for every club in your bag and every shot in the game. "Players really enjoy the fact that they can use their own clubs while practicing," added Adams.
The Rockroller is a device that inserts into the top of the putter grip and gives instant feedback on how a perfect putting stroke should feel. Users simply adjust the arm width and height and position the Rockroller on the biceps of their arms. They then use the patented hinge to adjust the system to their stance and address. This creates a triangular shape between the shoulders, arms and putter grip, forcing the golfer to duplicate a fluid pendulum stroke, which is the same stroke used by the best golfers in the world. The Rockroller can be used on the practice green, at home or in the office.
The Stimpdimple is a pocket size training aid that works with the golfer’s favorite putter to reinforce the perfect tempo and speed of a flawless putt. It fits easily on to the shaft of the putter and has two dimples to rest the golf ball in. The larger dimple is easier to use and the smaller one is more difficult. The goal is to keep the ball balanced in the dimple through impact. When using the Stimpdimple, golfers immediately begin building a smoother putting stroke.
The Ernie Els Training System includes the Tempotimer, Rockroller, Stimpdimple and an instructional DVD. It has a suggested retail price of $99.99. The Tempotimer is available separately for $49.99, the Rockroller for $59.99 and the Stimpdimple for under $10. To order, visit www.TheRockroller.com.
