PLANO, TEXAS, August 15, 2006 -For the first time in the company’s history, Adams Golf (OTCBB:ADGO) sits atop the latest hybrid count on the PGA TOUR. The Idea lineup of hybrids accounted for more than 26% of the total hybrids in play at The INTERNATIONAL. Having the #1 hybrid in play on the PGA TOUR completes a hybrid trifecta for Adams Golf, which is the only manufacturer to win the hybrid count on the PGA, Champions and Nationwide Tours in 2006.
"Having the #1 hybrid played on the PGA TOUR last week, along with our continued success on the Champions and Nationwide Tours, validate the investment we’ve made in the R&D and Tour departments. In the end, the consumer benefits from the rigorous testing and demands that our products go through on tour," said Chip Brewer, Adams Golf CEO.
Darrell Survey results from 2006 indicate that Adams Golf leads the combined hybrid brand count of the PGA, Champions and Nationwide Tours. Along with leading the hybrid count at The INTERNATIONAL last week, the Idea Pro hybrid was in the bag of the Nationwide Tour’s Xerox Classic Champion. It was the second consecutive Nationwide Tour event that the Idea Pro hybrid was in the winner’s bag.
