Mission Viejo, Calif. (August 15, 2006) – The Wright Balance Golf Academy, congratulates Dr. David Wright’s student Kevin Stadler on his victory Sunday at the Xerox Classic in Rochester, NY.

Stadler shot a final round 65 to win the tournament by a shot over Glen Day. He is the first player in the tournament’s history to put together four rounds in the 60s (69-68-69-65). In doing so, he captured his third tournament title in the past year, having won the European Tour’s Johnnie Walker Classic in February and the Centenary Argentine Open last December.

"Kevin’s success over the past few seasons is a testament to his talent, dedication and maturity as a golfer," Wright said. "His developing patience is making him a force to be reckoned with in tournaments. He’s a great individual and it’s a pleasure to watch his progress."

Stadler’s win is the most recent in a string of successes by Dr. Wright’s students. In June, Jordan Nasser won the 95th California Amateur at Pebble Beach. Dewi Schreefel won USC’s third NCAA individual title helping the team to a second place finish at the 2006 NCAA Women’s Golf Championships in May. In addition, Irene Cho won four collegiate tournaments in the Spring for USC and was named the 2006 Honda Award winner as the nation’s top collegiate women’s golfer.
