Daly Wins Big Over Norman, Nicklaus, Ames & Garcia

Vancouver, Canada – GPS Industries, Inc. (GPSI) , the leading innovator of Wi-Fi enabled GPS systems for golf facilities and residential communities, is pleased to announce the inclusion of their INFOREMERï?¤ GPS system in the 2006 Telus Skins Game, which was contested by Greg Norman, Jack Nicklaus, John Daly, Stephen Ames and Sergio Garcia.

A major investor in GPS Industries, Norman used the company’s portable INFOREMERï?¤ GPS unit in each of the two days of competition. The patented, state-of-the-art technology also impressed Ames and Garcia during their visit to the historic Banff Springs resort in the Rocky

Mountains of Alberta.

"It was very exciting for us to be part of the Skins Game." said GPSI President and CEO Robert Silzer, Sr. "Not only was Greg able to demonstrate the Inforemer on a nationally televised broadcast, we were also able to get the product in the hands of those other great players. Ames and Garcia in particular seemed intrigued by our technology."

Daly, who didn’t win any skins over the first nine holes, has never been shutout during his visits to Canada. On Day two he kept his winning streak alive, claiming all nine skins and $210,000.

"I didn’t think I hit the ball that bad (on day 1) but I just couldn’t make any putts," said Daly. "I was finally able to make some."

Ames earned runner-up status with six skins and $95,000, while Garcia grabbed three skins worth $55,000. Only the two legends, Nicklaus and Norman, left empty-handed though both played solidly and were never out of contention.

"I know I’m not razor sharp but I hit the ball pretty well this week," said Nicklaus. "And what a magnificent setting this is. With the rivers, the trees and the mountains â?¦ you can’t beat this kind of scenery."

Though skinless over two days, Norman was at least content to showcase the technology in which he is invested. "GPS Industries has created a remarkable range of golf products, the best in the industry", he said with the company’s portable Inforemerï?¤ unit in hand. "And the potential for applications beyond golf are particularly exciting. The golf side of the technology is very impressive but that’s only the beginning for this company."
