Furyk Moves Up Four Spots Since Switching to Srixon Clubs and Golf Ball
ATLANTA – August 16, 2006 Srixon Staff Professional Jim Furyk has moved to 3rd in the world, up four spots from the beginning of the season when he put a full arsenal of Srixon golf clubs and golf ball in his bag. Furyk heads into this week’s PGA Championship armed with Srixon’s W-506 driver, Srixon I-506 irons, Srixon wedges, and the Srixon Z-UR prototype golf ball.
Furyk, the 2003 U.S. Open Champion, has had a remarkable season since switching to Srixon this year. Coming into this week’s PGA Championship, he has accumulated 9 Top 10 finishes this year including a win at the Wachovia Championship, a tie for 2nd place finish at the U.S. Open Championship and a 4th place finish at the British Open Championship. Furyk further solidifies his hold on the number 2 ranking on the 2006 PGA TOUR money list with over $4.6 million for the season and has amassed over $28 million in career earnings-currently ranked 5th all time-and is an 11 time PGA Tour winner. He maintains his 2nd place ranking in scoring average (69.12) and is 5th in driving accuracy percentage (73.9%).
